Takis is a culturally rooted brand with strong ties to Hispanic communities and a loyal Gen Z following.

  • However, there was an opportunity to further embed the brand within real-time digital culture.

    The goal was to show up in a way that felt native, timely, and culturally fluent.

RESEARCH

Insights showed that brands engaging in pop culture, particularly through humor and memes, see higher engagement.

  • Gen Z audiences respond to content that feels authentic, fast-moving, and platform-native.

    This approach helps humanize brands and break away from traditional corporate messaging.

RESULTS

During an internship, I developed social content for Takis USA across Twitter, Instagram, and Threads.

  • I created a dynamic meme library designed to respond to trending moments and conversations.

    This strategy increased social engagement by over 50% and strengthened the brand’s cultural relevance.
